Hi pitmac,
I had to put an 2nd-hand early one on my TW, as Mits had none available anywhere in Aust at the time. Saved a bundle too - $55 vs $650. That was about 15K ago. No issues encountered.

Precision Parts do these as an aftermarket part.
The foundry that I work for supplies the castings for them.
Very high quality standards with them.
Looked at how many castings we have made over the years for the 6G74 and it is nearly b*gger-All.
Falcadore has kept us all in business however.

Early version MD333325 is superceeded by MN119375 which is original fitment to my TW (replaced May 2009 wty). Same used for the 6G72 from what I can tell. If you wanted brand new OEM you should be able to get it to your door from the US for about $300.
