Hey everyone,

I am looking at buying some Recaro seats from NZ for a reasonable price compared to 3rd gen leather

I was wondering who has installed Recaro seats into their 3rd gen?

There's a couple of options I guess. First would to get some EVO 1-6/GSR or even Legnum/Galant rails and modify them to suit my wagon. Secondly would be to use the rails from my stock seats and adapt them to the Recaro seats......

Who on this forum has done what? I tried searching but didn't come up with much......

I spend alot of time in my car and am getting pretty sick of the pathetic stock seats! I found a site i the U.K that can supply the fabric for those seats so I could make matching door card inserts :)

I know of one person who got a seat engineer in Geelong to make up rails etc and the best part is that these are all approved and will not cause RWC issues, I will try and find out who they are, I know they do seat conversion for people who have special needs in cars etc

There is a M21 Proton being wrecked on ebay at the moment they have Recaros with similar seat runners to Magnas might be worth having a look.

M21's have the same Recaro rails as CC GSR's, Libero's and EVO 1-6- which is definitely an option....

Mal- i'm not overly worried r.e engineering..... I had an E39A VR4 with EVO 3 Recaros and even Pettit (that notorious JDM car killer from Knox TMU) didn't say anything about engineering for them.
