Hey all,

So when I bought my Magna 1996 TE Exec. Maual it had a dingy old flea bitten torn boot cover lol.

So naturally I replaced it! But the boot I ordered off ebay (it lights up with LEDs inside it :) )

But the bottom of the boot is very tight with rigid elastic and there is no hope of me trying to pull the boot over the plastic base plate of my magna...

So what I want to do is get some metal cut it to spec and use that instead of my plastic base plate so i can slot the boot on.
Can people please give me pointers and/or measurements and specs to take into consideration?

Dude don't expect an answer in 20 minutes on a work day.

Personally I've never heard of someone making a metal plate just to fit a gear boot.

Ring up Mitsubishi and get a new one?

Either that or buy a 3000gt one from the UK.

Mits ones fit perfectly

The one you have, the old one, surely that has the plastic plate and if so, can you not measure that one up

From your description I am at a loss as to what you want, if you are trying to fabricate somethign to hold the boot in then this will be up to you me thinks

He probably threw the plate out that held the original one into place. You needed to save that and use it with your new boot.

P.S: LED's in your boot??

Nono, ive kept the plastic boot.

And yeah its pleather with airation holes so when you press a little button some LEDs that i zip tied to the base of the shifter the red light shines through haha its kinda soft but looks cool at night time!
