ok, So i drove down the street the other day to get milk, Before heading to work, Every thing been runnning sweet, Only owned the car for 8 weeks,

Any ways, I unlocked the car after coming out of the supermarket and went to go fire it and something went click up in under the dash from the passanger side ad all the lights went out,, MM i thought battery terminals were loose maybe, so pulled em off cleaned em up and put em on and then the same thing happened, Turn around to run, Then go to start same click and then every thing goes out, There is no power to anything, no dash, no lights no nuffin,

OK some one told me ecu, Went to wreckers they only had one and made no diffrence, So i am at a loss,, Really need to fix this for the misses as a daily driver as i work 500klms away from her in a mine,

Any ideas guys please. I am at a loss

Is the battery any good?

Is the battery earth to the body of the car still connected?

Are all the fuses intact?

I doubt it would be the ECU, because the ECU does not control the starter, it would crank but not start if it was the ECU. Check the battery earth wire where it bolts on to the body, make sure that is clean and tight, if you are jumping the way most people do with both leads on the battery this would still cause the same issue.

Maybe a relay that fires when the car is in the start position is starting to die.

Can you trace the exact source of the clicking? You might need to take out some bits of the dash to get up in there.

If it was me I'd probably take it to an auto-electrician.

Well i have sorted it,, turns out were the wires go into the terminal - termanial was all cracked on the inside (didnt spot it when cleaned em) Put new terminals on and she is sweet agian,
