Looking to check my Auto trans fluid level in my 2000 TJ, the manual says there is a dipstick just to the left of the battery cover but ill be ****ed if i can see it. I have had a decent look around what am i missing?

From memory it to the left and up a little towards the firewall from the battery cover. It'll be down a way and you will have to reach for it.

Is it possible that yours could be missing the trans dipstick?

Its WHITE and says 'ATF' on the top of it..

I can take a picture of mine later today, if you'd like..

hey chuck, the trans dip stick should be closer to the front of the car, right in front of the trails oil filter, near the battery cover box
