Hi guys

Have a squeak coming from my back end and need some assistance in diagnosing what it is.

I took a video so you get an idea of what happens. As I'm coming out of my garage I have my foot on the brake (so thats probably just my brakes squeaking a little), but when I straighten up I'm just coasting - that's the noise I'm concerned about.

The noise seems to go away a bit at speed, or once the car's warmed up - when I come home it doesn't make the noise.

Ideas?

Pull your handbrake a little while moving then release quickly and see if it goes away. Mine does the same, handbrake is rubbing :-/

I was wondering if it might have been handbrake related. I'll give that a go next time. Cheers mate.

99% of the time is the handbrake shoe, back off the adjuster, give the whole area a good clean with brake cleaner, use either graphite or lithium greese behind the shoe where it contacts the backing plate and reassemble/adjust

Thanks for that Mal.

For someone technically illiterate, is it do-able, or would I be better to pay someone to do it?
