Which is better & are there any issues with the pod setup eg cel probs. Are there any benefits in installing either of those setups before installing extractors?

Pod is obviously non standard and could get comment from transport or Police officers. But that would mean you were doing something naughty first. Pod would be more efficient at higher RPM and less efficient at lower (unless you have a S/C like some here). CELs normally come from extractors and the location of the O2 sensors.

forget the POD, its been proven on the dyno to make less power and when cops pop your bonnet its an instant defect as its so obvious to them. Get yourself a galant intake and do the lower resonator mod and yes it will make a difference before you do your extractors.

To get the benefits from a pod you need to construct an insulated box for it, and even then most people think the pod is only as good as a decent pane filter. You're better off with a cold air intake and a good panel.

I connected an Ecudatascan device over ayear ago and proved that the inlet air temperatures were significantly higher with a pod filter that draws air from under bonnet, especially with the RPW extractors.

You need to extend the inlet pipes and move the pod filter to inside the passenger side guard...see Foozrcool's version.

else it is a complete and utter waste of time.

Thanks again for your replies I guess the pod setup is mainly for show & no go, Ill stick with the galant setup & resonator mod.

Well, while we are still on tuning. I called into my local exhaust guy on the way home from work and asked about fitting extractors to my GT.
He seemed confident in doing the job and said he will get back to me in a day or so with a price. I didnt mention RPW so it will be interesting to see what he comes up with. Will keep you posted. Once I get the details I'm sure Blackstar and Fooz will tell me what to look out for.
Sorry guys should have put this in tuning not the pod
