bought another te to fix up, this one has a great quirk. Passanger footwell was full of water but its not the heater core!

Took up the carpet, and poured water over the windscreen, and water flooded straight into the car from the left side of the passangers footwell.

Where is the drain meant to go, and why is it coming straight in the car!!

i took the wipers off and the plastic covers, and did the same and water flooded straight into the car. its not coming from the heater/air con fan as ive taken it out, and i poured around the fan inlet thing.

is there a hose on the left side of the footwell that might be blocked or disconnected?
i though i better ask because im sure somone on here knows whats going on!

Check for rust in your firewall. I have had the same problem. Where the cabin joins to the engine bay. Scratch around with a screw driver and see what you find.

Often is the grommets up under the mud guard, these get old and come away from the body and in comes the water

Dont use silicone, if you need to seal it, use urathane or similar

It is not a white one by any chance is it lol.

If you get real stuck, I do have a scope that will gu right up under dash boards and in cavities etc

So is a white one, 3.5l engine conversion, no roof lining or carpet... if so then the issue is not hte grommets, it is coming from somewhere up under hte scuttle panel, have spent several hours tracing this, got hte general area but can not pin point the issue, the car itself was used as a paddock basher for a number of years, I suspect rust is the issue

does the car have a power cable running to the boot? mine was leaking from the gromet about 6 inches above and to the left of the passengers left foot. make sure it is still there
