Folks i'm thinking of helping out SuFz get the cash for his rims... so my question is:
I've got a Pioneer DEH 1550 (or similar?)
Will this hook up to a Sony CDX-T69X Stacker? or are we gunna have issues, if so, what issues.
Cheers boys and girls.
I don't think you could run any stacker on that HU. It needs a "AUX IN" into the HU.
Regardless of make or model of the stacker i don't think your HU has the input.
I would suggest getting a new HU. Pioneer 5650 is good. around the $500 give or take 100. i am not sure.

Not exactly sure if thats my exact model number, cant find the box and the 1550 is the only one i could find that looks remotely like it. I've got the 6 disc change buttons, would that mean i could only hook up a pioneer stacker? or are others compatable

Forget stackers, just go MP3... or even better, an MP3 stacker :D

from my limited knowledge of ICE (i think this is actually my first post in the audio section) i've been told that its pretty much impossible to connect different brands together ie HU & stacker.

You could hack your way in to get the audio lines to hook up, but in terms of the command protocols you wouldn't be able to interface it... it's like trying to plug your Sega MegaCD into a SNES or something :D

You wont connect a pioneer to a sony stacker especially if the pioneer HU has a P before it's model number, as they use the P bus and it's exclusive to Pioneer, I dont know of any adaptors.
