16" rims clear 380 brake brakes I know as I fitted stockies to a mate car.

Offset can be a misleading measure, all it tells you is now far from the centre line of the wheel mounting point is. It depends on a rim design, normally rims that are designed to clear brembos have extended mounting points on the actual plate which mounts to the hub which gives then extra clearance, & they can still have small offset like 38mm.

I've tested kj series 2 alloys over my 380 brakes on my car they had the same amount of clearance as my standard vrx 17s

I fitted 380 front brakes to my TJ with 16 inch alloys and the clearance was about the thickness of a finger. The alloys had an offset suitable for the Falcon, 36 mm I think.

The GTV rims had 7mm clearance..
