Hi Guys,
Few questions,
Can a torque converter be damage from being dropped?
Also when you do a dead cold start on it you have to rev the living **** out of it to move (Backwards or Forwards), sort of like very slowly releasing the clutch on a manual. It will go through the gears properly once. Then it just becomes even more sluggish (no 2nd Gear and sometimes no first) until its reached normal temp. But when its at normal temp its a dream to drive. I am going to attempt to fix this tommorow, what do i change? torque converter or transmission? I have both here, but as i stated before when we were separating the trans from the other motor the torque converter slipped outta our hands and dropped probably a meter onto solid concrete. Would it still be ok?
Also, can the tie rod ends be damaged if there tapped with a hammer to assist removal?
Thanks in advance
Chris

Not sure on the Torque converter, but the tie rods can be damaged if you hit the rod end itself. Try hitting the steering knuckle instead.
