Just wondering if anyone had pulled a centre console out of an '07 SX and noticed if there was wiring for the 12v socket there already?

I want to hook up twin portable dvd screens from the headrests to a power supply in the centre console rather than having plugs and double adapters hanging out of the dash. The centre console has a hole to fit one but I don't know if the wiring loom supports it and whether I would have to pull it all out and find a spare 12V supply elsewhere?

yeah itshould be there. i installed one in my s1 GT that didnt come with it. (also spliced into this for the power for my varex mufflers as is a constant power item...)

I've got 2 (series 3) 07 SX's and both have the 12V plug in the centre console (I'm assuming you mean in the storage bin with the lid, between the seats?) I'm guessing they were standard by series 3?

Sorry, just re-read your post and I misunderstood what you were asking, obviously you mean the other 12V plug in front of the gear lever - not sure if they are wired in directly or via a plug behind the dash... but they are both there and operational in a series 3

yeah theres a plug underneath the centre console. if you follow from the socket back in the donor car just unplug at the first plug you come to, and plug into yours.
the splicing was because i also ran the varex wiring from there.

My series 2 VRX has the wiring & plug under the console.

Thanks guys, I will try and get hold of one then. The car came with bluetooth which is good but I thought they were supposed to come with the extra 12v socket but it must have been an option on the S2 SX's.
