hi

when changing transmission fluid in a ts magna v6 do you undo both drain plugs or just the one on the transmission sump

wheres the filter and what has to be done

auto i need it for a 94 magna v6

you need to undo both plugs, one drains the transmission, the other does the differential section of the transaxle. You need to remove the auto pan to change the filter, when you fill the auto from the dipstick tube it will also refill the differential section.

only undid the drain plug on the auto sump got about 5 litres out and just put a new filter in and topped it up and is better, how much do you loose just undoing the diff drain plug later

Not 100% sure but you might lose a litre or so out of the diff, not sure how much if any it'll take out of the auto with it though.
