hey guys, i'm real new to this, but i'm interested in doing some modifications to my solara. Does anyone know a good place to look in terms of online shops.

I'm i intested in getting the halo styled verada headlights on my TF solara and a few small paint jobs to my grille and door handles. Not too sure what model parts are compatible with my car.
Thanks

To be honest mate, this is the best place online for Magna parts that I know of. Obviously most stuff will be second hand, but considering a TF is a 15 year old car, you'll have to expect that.
Parabolic (verada) headlights pop up a lot, just keep an eye on the for sale section. Colour coded handles will be a bit harder to come across. You'll most likely have to buy a second set (wreckers?) and get them painted yourself. Anything from TE-TJ should work fine in your car - someone correct me if I'm wrong.
In terms of other mods, look at members rides and see what other people have done. In the end just do what you think will make your car more appealing to you. In the end you own it and you drive around in it - it's yours! :)

Just go threw a few build threads:) look at mine for example, I've done the parras conversion, changed grills, VRX kit. Now I'm looking into some engine work and interior, the list can never be too long for upgrading

mad thanks guys. Sorry stupid question, where abouts is the sale section?
Is it easy to perform paint jobs. I wanna paint my outside door handles white (to match the white paint) while leaving the stainless steel strip in the middle and, wanna change my front black grille to a chrome colour? Does chrome paint look gay?

I haven't painted handles so I can't offer comment. However obviously you'd need a spray gun to do it properly and would need to prepare it.
In terms of chrome paint. It's silver. Lol. I took out the bumper inserts of my car and cleaned, sanded, cleaned then painted with a few coats, then clearcoat. Used the best chrome paint I could find and it still came out silver haha. Mine was chrome paint for plastic, perhaps chrome paint for metal would look different, but I have no personal experience in that.
My inserts don't look bad, they just don't look chrome. So now I'm considering spraying the whole thing darkest black, then finding those stick on chrome strips to achieve the effect I want. If I do that I'll let you know how it goes.

yeah sounds like painting it would be a tough job. But i reakon even if mine did turn out a silver like colour i'd be happy. As long as it matched the door handles lol. Aww i've hear of those clip on chrome strips. Definately let us know if you get around to doin it.
