I know; yet another keyless entry problem.

What happens is that everything will work fine for a few weeks, then one day I'll lock the car and it will lock all but the drivers door. The drivers door can still be locked using the key.

After this happens, if I try to use the remote again, the car will just flash its indicators at me as if it's already locked or unlocked.

If I reprogram the remote, the problem goes away for a few weeks. It is not convenient to reprogram the remote every time this happens as my girlfriend has a second remote and we are not always together.

I'm confident that the remote itself is fine, so what else could be the problem? Drivers door actuator maybe?

Edit: The car is a KH Xi.

My wifes car had the same problem with the passenger side door....it would sometimes lock and other times not....I swapped the actuator with another and all is working fine now.
It may be the same problem with your drivers door.

Thanks for the reply, might have to take a look. Can you tell just from looking at it if the actuator is stuffed?

Not sure, unless it is a total failure, in my case it was intermittent, so I just replaced it...got a second one from a wrecker...don't remember the price but it didn't cost much.
