G'day guys.

2 questions today before i jump into playing with my car to remove the HID's as one of the globes blew.

1.
Upgrading the headlight wiring just means throwing a relay in doesn't it? Or do people get a loom from a different car that is meant to carry move voltage?

2.
I've seen people saying for others to get the Philips Xtreme +80% globes, are these (http://cgi.ebay.com.au/PHILIPS-XTREME-POWER-H4-80-UPGRADE-BULBS-80-BRIGHTER-/380334843260?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item588db9257c#ht_2704wt_982) the ones everyone is talking about?

Cheers guys,

Yeah, wiring upgrade means throwing in a relay with thicker wiring - the stock wiring is puny, and leads to noticeable voltage drops.

Yes, those are the Philips bulbs everyone talks about.

I have 35w HIDs in both my low and high beam but if I had my time again I'd seriously consider the Philips +80s with a wiring upgrade.

Ah cheers mate. I'm gonna buy the globes and see how they go, if I need wire upgrading I'll have to get help from a mate or someone as I'm shit with electrical stuff lol

If you're fussy about your lighting, I'd do the wiring upgrade regardless.... if you haven't seen it, check out spud100's results (http://www.aussiemagna.com/forums/showthread.php?t=57256&p=1258401&viewfull=1#post1258401) when he was testing the stock wiring.
