I think all the wiring would be a bit messy, and think I read somewhere it's a bad idea for HID's in stock lights? Makes the lens cloudy?( apart from parras) if you have parras you can do it with easy, simply change your headlight over to another wire and the lows should turn off with highs on( accidentally wired it wrong while doing conversation and found that out)

Highs are H1 in stock and parras
Lows are H7 in stock, H4 in parras

No...
Running colored HID's is asking for trouble especially due to the heat that they will build up if you leave them on for extended periods of time.
Why not get colored parkers?

The further you deviate from a yellow-white light (4300k), the less light output there is, and the more fatiguing it is to drive to. So 'coloured' HIDs might look cool when stationary but are useless to drive with.
If you want to rice up your headlights, put a set of paras in and make a set of angel eyes, and put them on their own switch.

HIDs don't create the same level of heat that even a standard QH globe does there is no problems running them from a heat point of view as you describe just a legal one. Been using HIDs in our Rally cars for years now and have had no issues what so ever with heat.

What he said, HID produce a lot less heat then even standard globe not to mention those over wattage globes. HID work particularly well in paras due to headlight's poor light output with standard globe.
