Hey guys,

Considering getting an Openport 2.0 -

Want to look at what I can customise, does anybody have some maps and defs they'd like to volunteer?

I'm after stock ones (a TH def with immob location would REALLY help me).

I have a TJ2 def 87200005 with immob values, so if I was to get a TH one I could pair my new VR-X ecu to my BEM and avoid some work in my conversions.

This is what my def has: http://img339.imageshack.us/i/unledakb.png/

If anybody has one more up-to-date it would be appreciated, I know ECUFlash is capable of much more then what is listed (ie. auto shift points).

Idle is listed as a hexidecimal value of "028A" for both exec and ralliart - Decimal value of 650, is this correct?

and last of all, does anybody know Immob on/off hex codes? I have a tune with "0200" in it. and a ralliart with "0700" - Which is on/off?

Cheers.

Just noticed my 91760000 def (Manual) does not have idle value - Does anybody have a def with it?

No idea what the numbers mean, but I have a TJ2 VRX auto ecu and a KH ecu? Whats needed to learn how to read them? Im pretty sure they're both stock.

Considering getting an Openport 2.0

If you already have a 1.3U, the only reason to get a 2.0 is to work with pre-TJ ECUs (in Magnas). 2.0 cables don't have as much throughput for logging.

Already got a TH ROM?

As far as I can find no 3rd gen ECU uses more than one timing map for normal operation - the code has space for more which get used in other vehicles (ie those fitted with knock sensors) - so only one of the ignition maps identified by your definition is likely to be active.

0200 to 0700 is actually flipping 2 bits (2 hex is 0010, 7 hex is 0111).

As far as I've been able to determine, if you get the code wrong the engine won't start but you should still be able to reflash to the alternate setting and try again. If you don't know for certain, don't try random combinations as the flash ROM has a limited number of write cycles (the MCU manufacturer's docs state 100 write cycles as I recall - but that is the guaranteed minimum - and different blocks of the ROM are usually written separately; a couple of hundred writes to a particular block could be reasonably expected).

BTW, Based on various fragments of info I think that there are at least two idle values (A/C On & A/C Off) and idle speed may be in maps based on coolant temperature (or at least coolant temp is involved with the ISC settings). I've not tried finding this stuff yet, as it hasn't been a burning issue.

Atm I don't have any datalogging/flashing cable. I am planning on getting one very shortly, I want to be able to read TH ECU's, and write TJ-TW.

I do not have a TH rom atm, would love one if you have one though.

The post above refering to immob is under a seperate heading to immobilizer (it is immob on/off) the tune "Ralliart Manual no immob" I have has the 0700. I just wanted to confirm this.

Basically my goal (for a start) is to read the immob hex code off my TH ECU (hence needing a TH def), write this into my TJ VRX ecu, write the ralliart ignition maps in, delete the speed limiter, lean out the AFR's by 0.3 to check the gains, and raise the rev limiter to 7100rpm.

I also have a 380 MAF coming, I need to determine the size and adjust the values accordingly if it is different to the Magna one.
