Yeah my mate's 2nd gen had a similar prob for a bit, it didnt like the shift from normal to high beam, it was just dust in the switch making a bad connection (Thats what he concluded)...well he took the stick off and pulled it apart, gave it a clean and put it back in. Worked fine after that. Also had the same prob in my old man's Patrol, he just sprayed WD40 in it and left it to dry...worked but I wouldnt reccomend it, too dodgy.
Not too sure how to take the stick out though, U got a Gregorys manual, they save lives...or atleast time and $$$.
Aaaahhhhhhhh, WD40... is there anything it cant do ;oP
I prefer CRC2-26. Less residue...

Do you still have problems or did a quick clean fix things up?

That isnt the problem... I played around with the fuse for it... it turned off as soon as I touched it. but I dont wanna do that everytime... I think I need to get someone to look at it...

the previous owner of my TS said they had the same problem and they took it to an auto-electrician and it was like $25 to fix (prolly $15 for labour :doubt: ) prolly your best bet if the bad connection isn't the problem
OK. No comments needed regarding the following.
I had a bad earth connection on the headlights themselves, so watch for that. Kept blowing high beam lamps...
