I was looking at a few threads earlier today and saw peoples boot lids coming up from the front rather than the back, or coming up onto one corner when its fully opened. Just wondering how this is done and how much it is and what is involved

If you mean the boot like LOUD1 has where it goes onto the back window, Im pretty sure I read he custom made them or had them custom made for him

simple, there are 4 bolts that hold your boot lid to the rails. take the top one on both sides off, then replace it with a gate hinge from the arm to the lid. the weld a peice of 20mm box between the arms to give support so they dont move independantly. to make it tilt, remove the bottom 2 bolts (finger tight is enough) and it will swing down.

That was a popular mod in the States a while back. Worth searching OS forums.

The how to guide is great, does anyone know how to lock it in place without having to add/remove bolts and stuff each time? That's just inefficient.
