Just trying to confirm that the VRX seats are a slightly different shape to the base model seats. Mainly or only in the base and side bolsters. Searching these forums and the interwebz all I can find are vague references to the VRX having 'sports' seats.
I ask coz I'm thinking about bidding for some Series 3 VRX leather seat covers, but if they are the wrong shape for my base model seats then I would be wasting my time & money.

Yes VRX seats are shaped different to ES seats. Basically SX, VRX and GT all share the same seat shape, with ES and GTL sharing the non high bolstered shape.

they will not fit as they have two different seat designs

the ES came with a seat design from the previous verada and the VRX/GT/SX came with a sport seat design

beaten by S3II

not forgetting that it would cost bugger all to get the foam modified in the seats to give you the bolstering needed...
cheap leather interior with better comfortable seats..would be a good cheap project..

the back rests are the same i recon , just a bit different in the seat base...big deal.

Is both backrest and base as i have vrx, sx, platinum and of course es seats here at the moment. The es are different but the rest look either same or at least very similar

Nup, not them, was real 380 VRX leather seat covers. Not just slip over the existing cloth covers, but remove & replace the cloth covers. Mucho work and chance of stuff ups.
