Hey guy's I've got TJ executive wagon 3.5L & never owning a Auto car before I would like to know what needs to be done to Auto box when it goes in for a service? & Roughly what it will cost me? The car has 150,000kms on it..

98 results.

The fluid gets flushed. Cost anywhere from $150-$300 depending on how much transmission fluid is needed.

No mate, is not like the old holdens etc with all of 2 gears lol

The Mits trans cannot even have a filter change on the TJ without an overhaul, and be thankful you have a Magna as some of the newer fords and commos's cant even have the fluid changed witout taking the trans out of the car and rebuilding it lol

So, in short, they will if done properly, dump fluid, refill, run while pumping new fluid through\, some will also use a power flush system that draws the old fluid out while replacing with new, either way is fine
