If you want ideas, check out the Audio Installs sticky (http://www.aussiemagna.com/forums/showthread.php?t=49740). Also, have a browse or search through Member's Machines - I'm sure you'll find something that takes your fancy.

There's no 'best' way to kit your boot out... it comes down to what you want out of your boot (eg show car vs daily driver) as well as your experience, your tools, your time and patience, and your audio equipment...

Flat floor, with some nice trims panels and carpet it all, all can be done for under $100 if you know what you are doing.

Apart from the carpet, nearly my entire boot install comes from Bunnings. I can't remember what everything costs, so I'll rattle off what I used.

Like I said above though,it does come down to your exact plan. I created a new false floor for my boot which required two large pieces of MDF - and it isn't even visible when the boot's put back together. If your boot is designed differently you may not need to do this. I used 12mm MDF for my false floor and amp racks.

Other things I used:
A LOT of screws. I used 120 alone in my sub box, plus a few more holding the sub box and amps in place.
Liquid nails to hold sub box together.
Silicon sealant to seal up sub box.
Spraypaint to paint visible parts of sub box port and any other timber that may be exposed.
Spray adhesive for the carpet.

I found a local timber store to cut up the sub box pieces using 16mm MDF. That was about $30.

Carpet wasn't cheap. I used automotive carpet from Bunnings at first, which turned out to be shit - it was too rigid. That was a waste of $100. I used either 2 or 3 rolls of DNA Speaker Carpet from Autobarn (at $40 a pop).

^Thankyou, I think what il be doing is creating a false floor and putting my amp in it and then adding a clear plastic sheet over where the amp is (one that can be slid to the side.) ((Open and Close)) also, i want to make 2 angled parts at the side to put speakers in, then i want to put my sub facing through my hatch in the back seats so when the hatch is open its REAL bassy

I'm not really picturing what you're proposing, but if you be very careful if you intend to seal up where the amp goes. Amps need ventilation, so if you do put it in an enclosure of sorts, add a computer case fan or two for ventilation.

Okay cheers, where is the vent on the amp, on one of the sides?
