where are these? are you talking about the one after the MAF?

yeah they're after the maf. They sit above and below the main air intake hose. The top one looks like a funny shaped rectangle with box indentations, and the second one is directly below that on the underside of the pipe.
If you do remove them though, you'll need to plug the holes with something, like hard plastic etc. and make sure they are secure :D
ok so i did the drive today, was all up about 120km, car used noticably less fuel, used just under 1/4 of a tank, normally uses over 1/4 tank. so im quite happy. didnt notice any performance drop, although it was bloody cold in adelaide today

lol So MOST people go for COLD AIR INTAKE but you have chosen HOT AIR INTAKE lol
Facinating. .
Its only temporary.
Im going to run a neat pipe down the the bumper. Just need some time.

Which would then turn it into cold air intake? Im confused lol So better economy and sound with the warm air and better performance with cold air. .

when you put it that way it makes it a hard choice which way to go lol

Personally, I wouldn't call it a hot air intake until you measure the temperature.
eg: when moving at 60kph - the air going into the air box without a snorkel is only 1C warmer than ambient air.
With factory snorkel it is same temperature as ambient air, but due to restriction, air flow is reduced. Max air flow rate is down by 30%!
I didn't measure that on the Magna, but that could be the situation here.
My previous car gained from the free flowing intake regardless of the increase in temperature, which was only caused from heat soak when not moving.
I think you are just trolling, so I'll butt out and leave you to it. :)
