are these any good for 3rd gens? has someone had one installed b4? is it hard to install? is $465 a decent price? seriously, just wondering if its worthwhile or would the RSM be more useful?

the SAFC and RSM are two different things
SAFCII adjusts airflow while the RSM is only a Rev Speed Meter which just gives you measurements on speed and revs, gforce (if you get that option) etc
Personally i dont think it will do jack all, especially on a stockish magna
a Greddy would be better, you can get em for about $800 give or take a few and will need to dyno tune and install too....but you would have to do that with the safc as well
better option is a greddy.

As mentioned RSM and SAFC are completely different things. What do you actually want to achieve with it.
Off the top of my head that's a decent price, and no, they're not hard to install. You'll want to get it tuned on the dyno though, so budget for that.

thanks guys. i know that they are different things. what i was asking was which one would be more worthwhile (i realise RSM could be percieved as a bit of rice), or should i just go all out for an emanage?

What do you want? Something to bling up your interior, or something to tune your engine?

the latter

What sort of mods does your car have? I suppose the first question is, does it need to be tuned? If you don't need any drastic changes to your AFRs then the SAFC is good bang for your buck. Keep in mind that the SAFC will also modify your timing to a small degree and has fairly low tuning resolution. If you have some significant mods and really want to get the most from it, go a full aftermarket ECU.

Jon...
I have both the RSM and SAFCiiGT in my magna before..
For the SAFCii, you'll need a resistor as the car's ECU self corrects the settings you do to the SAFCii..
I've PM you about the other thing u asked me... Call me and we'll work something out with all your questions...
