I know the cables to the rear speakers run under carpets but does anyone know exactly where? Reason I ask is that despite everything being fixed after my car was flooded out I have now discovered the rear speakers aren't working or, if they do, they cut in and out when the car is moving or pops over a bump in the road.
Any advice greatly appreciated! :)

Im pretty sure they got taped up along with all the other power cables and such which run down the side of the car
Would be easier just to run new speaker cable to the rear speakers along the drivers side of the car with the loom

How deep did the water get inside the car, reason I ask is because if it was not as far as the top of the tunnel or ecu, then there is nothing flood related that cause your speakers to die as the plugs are higher up in the car.

Unless the wire jacket was split aswell at the tape not being sealed, but that is highly unlikely.
+1 for running new cables. Ive seen 6m rolls of 2 core speaker cable for $4 or $5 at cheap shops.

The water reached as high as the scuff plate sills.
First off...thanks to all who replied. Secondly...how hard would it be to run new cables and, roughly-speaking, how much, do you reckon, would someone like JB or Autobarn charge??
