Really dont know after reading and digesting some past discussions . Do I listen to Mitsu dealers that say every 100000klm or so, which can seem like eternity or ignore you guys that get yours done more like every 40000klm. Which is right ?. I have no issues or problems with it but dont want any either . mine being a 5 speed tiptronic KL 03 with 183klm on the clock, mainly freeway mileage
If you can do it yourself, I think $60 of trans fluid is cheap insurance against a $2000 replacement and fitting. If the fluid looks dirty or discoloured, or smells burnt, change it ASAP.

I would if i was handy and knew what i was doing but from someone that has learnt lots from this site it seems odd that i get told that it aint necessary to do it for any less length of mileage. Some ppl wont do 100klm for 3 years minimum!!!! but i guess thats when they start suggesting its been a while.

Is not rocket science, if the fluid is nice and a clear red colour, leave it, if it is dirty brownish or black, change it.
Screw the mits dealer, they are simply too lazy to do anything that takes longer than 5 mins and they can not make $120 per half hour on. If is dirty get it changed
