hi guys
i'm planning on replacing the cam cover seal on the rear bank of my TL. cos it's leaking like a $5 hooker
I'm also thinking of replacing the hydraulic lifters on the rear bank as well, as there is one or two noisy ones.
Where are there cheap replacement hydraulic lifters available? i prefer some of reasonable quality.
also is there a seal for the spark plug chamber?
might as well do everything since i'm going to take off the intake manifold.

Not an easy job replacing the hydraulic lifters, not really hard just a fiddly job. You would be best to get genuine lash adjusters from Mitsu and you will need a valve spring compressor and I found a strong magnet was very useful as well.

Try the ROCKAUTO website: http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/x,carcode,1417182,parttype,5768.
A valve spring compressor is not required as the rocker arm bolts are long enough to screw in & bolt down / compress the valve springs. Make sure you unbolt / bolt down / tension the rocker gear to the correct tension & in the correct order. Also make sure you have the rocker shaft oil supply holes facing / lining up with the oil supply holes in the head. To reduce the likelihood of the lifters falling out of the rocker arms during re-assembly you'll need need to hold them in with some grease. You'll also need a magnet to retrieve any that fall out of the rocker arms. If you PM Madmagna or check his mitsfix website he may have the rocker cover gaskets & spark plug tube gaskets in kit form. He may also have the lifters available.
Note: If you have done engine repairs before ie: welch plugs, water pumps, engine rebuilds etc then you should find this type of job fairly straight forward.
Cheers
