hey guys the magna se has the 4 button interior light and i tested it in my tr exec however the 2 side lights for the rear passengers dont work and the middle light only works when the door is open, not when i have it set to on, was wondering how to get this to work like it would in the se.

Also have the front lights under the rear mirror.

Thanks

The top verada light looks like the one in my KH, the little round lights either side are turned on and off with the switches and don't come on or turn off with the doors? Only the centre part does?

yeah im trying to install the verada light into my tr exec that has the little one shown in pic, i connected the verada one and it only powers the middle light not the side ones, or when the put the middle light in 'on' mode it wont light up only when i have it set on 'door' mode,

basically i've connected it up before i have to cut the hole in the roof bigger for the verada light and it does this, was wondering if i need a different fuse or to add more wires to get the side lights working etc etc.

If i was you juzo i'd be getting the whole loom out of the se, and swapping it all over at once, trust me i have converted 2 magnas, one from exec to elite (climate) and one from exec to SE.
I might be in adelaide soon so if i go up ill give you a hand.

I just put one in my exec, it worked straight away without any mods. If you need a hand just yell.

was that when it was mounted to the roof, thinking those metal clips act has a ground or something for the other lights to work, or not maybe.

The screws into the roof act as an electrical ground. Chances are those lights will start working normally once it's screwed into place.

You can test it though without cutting up the roof liner, just run a piece of wire from the screw holes on the light to the screw threads on the body with the light connected and try powering it up.

ok will give it a try, looked at the se and it has the same 2 wires has the exec so must be it but will test soon,

after i get that sorted was the best way to cut the roof without wrecking it, was thinking of cutting out some cardboard on the se roof the size of the hole, then placing it on the exec roof hole and marking how much needs to be cut.

Thats what I did, I deliberately cut it a bit too small, then made it bigger bit by bit until it fit, then screwed the new mounting bracket in and yes once the light is screwed in to the bracket the rest of the lights should work.

I just went out and unscrewed it and the only thing that worked then was the permanent on switch.

oh ok cool thanks for that corndog, what did you use to cut it?

Also wanna try to add the front lights near the rear view mirror too but dont want to stuff up the roof has it all good except for the drivers door top, i found how it goes through the drivers door pillar and on the side of the dash to the fuse box which is lot of work for too lights lol.

I used a really sharp stanley knife, it is only cardboard.

I haven't done the front lights yet, but if I do I'll just run the power from the roof light as they are only permanent power map lights.
