i am looking for spending some $$ on upgrading the car
I was looking for a carpet and found i can get Plush carpet from all-car-carpet.com.au. Has any one bought a carpet or upgraded to these kind of 3rd party carpet ? Thinking of going TAN colour ... not sure how would it look though
Also, i was thinking of getting Vinyl Boot install.. Who in sydney would do a good job ? Not meaning to spend too much on it obviously :)

i ecomment getting a good cond 2nd hand 4rd gen carpet from the wreckers and slightly trimming the edges to suit. those carpets are a very loose fit. hard to make look good.
^^ i hope he means 3rd gen as im not aware of the existance of a 4rd gen :D grab a nice black one out of a 3rd gen vrx and would look very slick save some dollars to .
as for the boot install they are alot easier than they look if you have some experiance with a jigsaw

Are you going to be making a flat floor or just strictly replacing the carpet?
If its a 3rd party carpet it would want to be vinyl backed.

I would say match the material with the colour's of your seats in your car maybe, that would match very well with the colour theme of your car.
I built a boot floor myself so I had my amps and subwoofer screwed down (which still needs work, the floors done but not stands for amps and cables)
I built this because I wanted to be able to access my spare wheel easily without my subwoofer caving in and the funny thing is that 2 days after I built and installed this, my front left wheel bursted and needed to use my spare wheel so fancy that, but anyway what I did was, i used my old boot carpet and got some thick ply, about 12mm thick, and then cut that out with the shape of the stock boot carpet, and then worked around that.
I went to bunnings to apply carpet I bought, applied with spray glue and then folded over and stapled on the bottom side you don't see. I had cut out the middle bit, you have to cut extra to allow room for the fold over of the carpet, and I put slats under the bottom for the lid to sit on, I wouldn't recommend doing what I did and putting hinges in as it costs a bit more and really, just being able to pull the lid out in the end is much more easier and just the same.
If you do that, you will have to cut out some of the sides of the floor you make to fit in the boot, I took the left corner out and put it in and sit seperatly as it cannot go in as one piece, it can almost though, but not quite. You will also have to build a bit of a stand underneath to make the boot sit flat, I cannot remember the measurements I did but was only like 3-6cm I think, the left and right side are a bit different so you would have to check, a floor will not always be flat, it depends what angle ground your car is sitting on and your suspension and etc, but it was close enough to be level flat, that is what I did.
