Hi everyone, i am new to the forum and thankyou all for the information you provide.
But can someone please answer some concerns i have with a TJ Magna i just bought a week ago with 150,000 ks on the clock.

1. When the gears are in drive and releasing your foot off the accelarator, does your magna go really slow? i know this sounds dumb but noticed in the other cars i have had that when releasing your foot off the brake and just letting the car go itsself while in drive, the magna is extremely slow.

2- Is your engine loud?

3- Does your engine idle a little bit rough sometimes, but the rev tacho doesnt move?

I know these questions are silly, but i am just wanting to know if other magna uses experience these issues.

thanks

Welcome to the forum....and your questions are certainly not silly and are ones I've queried myself (and I've been driving for over half a century!)
1...if the idle is a bit low, then the car will only just move....tacho should say about 700 in idle...as long as it moves sharply when the go pedal is depressed then it should be OK.
2...My engine is loud as well although it's a TL with less soundproofing...way noisier than most other cars. As long as it's a kind of 'busy' sound and not a clatter it should be OK.
3...my idle is generally a 'little' rough and my tacho stays steady.

I'm sure all the above can be corrected possibly with a service which you can easily perform yourself - engine oil/filter change ($50) - new plugs ($30) - trans oil flush/change ($120)
Multiply the costs quoted by 3 or 4 if you get a mech to do these for you although as you live in Victoria you may be near MadMagna who has a name for low cost and high quality.
Maybe also throw a coolant change in as well ($35).
Good Luck.
