Hey guys ive sound deadened majority of my boot. When the bass is cranked up i can hear some buzzing noise on the bottom right side of the boot.

I i stuck my head in the carpet and discovered there are vents that just flop around.

Anyone have any idea what the vents are for and have any ideas to get rid of the noise coming from there?

Hey Dobbsy

hmm im confused :S, how do vents stop water from getting in?
You mean it lets air pass through when closing the boot?

The flaps in the rear of the car are for your HVAC (heating ventilating and cooling) system so that when you have it on fresh air, the blower fan can force it through the cabin. There's usually some form of vent along the parcel shelf, for the air to flow into the boot. Not sure about how to stop them vibrating. Foam insulation?

rip one rubber tag off... it lets enough air to flow through to stop the others from flapping thats what i did...
preferably the top one (higher away from water and dust) i dont suggest doing this however if you drive in dusty conditions....
if they still vibrate/flap around... good luck :)
