Heat up the glue a bit with a hairdryer. Or leave the car out in the sun for a few hours. Or both.

Run a length of fishing wire behind the badges to remove them from the car.

You'll have a bunch of glue left behind on the car. I would recommend using Orange Power's Goo Remover to remove it. It's available in a small orange bottle from the household cleaning section of your local supermarket. Works a treat. I wouldn't recommend eucalyptus oil. I've used it on other painted surfaces before and it's damaged the paint :(

Go over the area with a bit of cut and polish. Success!

I find doing it in a cooler day out of the sun the best. This way, the double sided tape is not gooey and you can slowly peel off with your fingers or tweezers without any harsh detergents. You need some brute force and a flathead screwdriver for the initial lift.

Ok thanks then, have always had the thought of doing it but never gotten round to bothering with it yet.

This was easy to get the badges off when I did it but the Goo was a right pain. Using wax and grease remover and a microfibre and lots of rubbing worked. Gave it a cut, polish and wax afterwards and it came up a treat
