The Drivers Side Inner CV Boot is leaking..

I have only just noticed it when I did my Oil change this morning..

The Boot itself has not split. it just appears as if the Metal tie has cut through the boot or has slipped..

Problem is.... I have a 600k car trip to do tommorrow... and there are no places open to do a boot/shaft change...

1. Should I cancel the trip...
2. If I remove the metal strip and replace it with a Cable tie... will it last the 600-700k trip I have to do tommorrow ???

The outers are fine and show no sign of wear and the Inner on the passenger side is fine..
there is no movement in the shaft itself..

THis is very normal for the Magna's yo will get a small amount of splattering around the PS pump etc, dont worry about it as most do this

Car did the trip perfectly... There was more grease but less then a table spoon...

Another tablespoonful and it will be as dry as a bone. I'd guess you are re-booting soon?

Nah.. Replace the shaft... Easier to do then just the boot..
