So... long story short how the heck do you get the oversized o-ring back into the throttle body?

I've tried for almost an hour now and the neighbours are giving me funny looks for swearing at my car.

Should sit there JUST holding on then need to carefully get the isc without knocking anything, is it bent or frayed?

Bit of grease and manipulation of the o-ring shape will see it in, takes time, and patience.

Took me a good hour of swearing, and other stuff, but, went in. Make sure you have the ICS nearby, ie, on manifold, so when it is sitting in the hole, you can quickly put it back on.

I've given up for tonight, every time I got close it would pop out before I could reach for the ICS.
I don't have any grease handy except wheel bearing type but that would stuff up the o-ring.

I'll give it another go in the morning with a fresh mind and more light.

See if you can get any runbbert grease, we use silicon spray at wotk to hold them in things bu8t we change out those orings every few weeks so 9it doesnt matter if they go bad from the chemicals

With great difficulty. But seriously, I did this the other day and its just a effing pain in the ass. I was lucky and just got the trick of it straight away. I just got one edge in and them got around as far as I could and put my fingers over the parts that were in the slot then pretty much just squeezed the rest in. Fidlly and frustrating but doable.
