as the title says ive been mad enough to pull the entire loom out of an tp elite of one of magnaman89 cars. so its got climate control, cruse, central locking, full power windows, digi dash (already had that but anyway) immobilizer ect ect.
so first off my main question is seeing as mine is a manual and the loom came out of an auto will the immobilizer have a problem with the fact there is no auto there? my understanding is that only elites had immobilizer and they weren't bought out in manual so this may be an issue.
anyway for anyone who is as keen as i will document any differences. tonight i only put the fan and heater boxes and did not need to de-gas the a/c or even remove the covers from the coil. just push the two temp sensors into the coil and bolt the boxes around it. then connect the vacuum line and its all good to go.
so tomorrow got to peal all the looms back in which will be fun but shouldn't take too much time. hopefully it will be driving tomorrow .............
thanks
regards jay

Ok as long as got the complete elite loom front to back it will work. You'll just need to earth out the park nurture switch and wire in the reavres switch
I drop a manurl into a to elite was easy as hell to get everything working

haha everything accept the cruze is in and working bar the central locking. seems to be either a sticky relay or buggered actuator so ill investigate further. when i first connected the battery the security system went off so i disconnected a little black plastic box in the middle of the dash and that stoped it and all door locks ect worked so ill leave it unplugged for now as i don want the immobilizer anyway. so ill investigate and get another lock relay and front left actuator (seemed to be the one jamming). luckily the wreckers love me so ill get it for nicks anyway.
climate control works great. very advanced system for its time only thing i wish it had was totally auto a/c. door looms were fiddley but easy enough. worst thing was the rear glass. had to get different tracks for it and replace them without breaking it.....lots of french during this period. the glass is near on impossible to get out of the back!
thanks man_elite. didnt seem to have a problem besides the alarm going off but thats prob something to do with central locking. i just plugged the elite loom into my manual loom and away it went.
so thanks for your input,
regards jay

you mean the one that sits next to the barrel and has the magnetic wiper? it seemed as if that was for the security rather than locks especially as the ones at the wreckers without security didnt have it. also my barrels wont accept the difference although i did get a full set off the elite i pulled the stuff from but one wont turn with the key. dont know why cos all the pins align right. so for now ill juat piss fart around and see if i can get an left actuator cheap.
got all the door cards, full set of almost new rad hoses, window tracks for back and locking arms for rear for $30 when the guy normally charges $10 for each door card. he must like me lol. hopefully he likes to give away central locking bits too lol
