Afternoon,
Was hoping someone would know what the part is that sends the fuel level signal? I know its part of the fuel pump cluster under the back seat, but not sure if the part can be bought on its own or is part of something else.
Currently my fuel gauge is not accurate.
Cheers
Hi, my fuel gauge was showing empty when there was at least 3/4 in the tank, I had to replace the sender unit, seems its a very common issue on our 3rd gens. There's an excellent DIY write up here: http://www.aussiemagna.com/forums/showthread.php?p=766780#post766780 (It's what I followed to replace mine). The part cost me around $81 and is part no MR933626.
Hope this helps!

I have then new but certainly are not only $81, even trade is not that cheap lol, not sure how long ago you got yours
The sender is easy to change, pop out the base of the back seat, there are a bunch of 8mm nuts, fuel line and wire and then it lifts out
Hint, make sure you dont have a full tank when you do this lol
i changed my fuel sender unit about 3000km ago. I picked mine up 2nd hand from a wrecker for $19, car had only done 120,000km so all good :)
and i recommend disconnecting the fuel pump and running the car until it stalls, this helps remove the pressure in the line. haha
