Hi everybody

My question is if I can get my hands on door trims, regs, switches and wiring harnesses can I install them to my car? Let's say the parts are from a same generation altera or advance whichever series have power windows.
I'm not sure if there is a slot for power windows in the fuse box.
Has anyone done it before or have an idea of how to do it or what else I am gonna need?
Thanks

Yes it can be done, but your car is an executive and most of them have none of the wiring for power windows. For my car I had to replace the dash wiring and run a power wire cable from the engine bay to a the dash wiring.
All the parts will physically fit, its just there will be no wiring for them.
So you will need,
Power windowe regulators
Door trims and speaker pods
Door wiring looms
Window switches
Dash wiring Loom
Floor wiring loom
You dont need to replace the wiring in the engine bay if power window wiring is missing, you just need to run a power cable to a 30 amp fuse then to a relay that is activated by acc and the to the blue power window wire on the dash loom(after you have changed the dash loom from a higher mode your executive dash loom will not have it) .
If your car has the engine bay wiring for power windows you just need to add a fuse and relay in the fuse box.

Power windows is a pain to get running. If you use the wrong sort of looms it gets very complicated. It would be easier to buy a wrecked verada and transfer all the looms across because the exec's come with no wiring for this sort of thing...

Mine don't even work properly yet as I'm still waiting on a front engine harness to put in. :eeek:

There is a 40 amp fuse for power windows in the fuse box so I guess there is no need to run a power cable from the engine but still need to change the dash loom right?

And the best is a verada one?

Fuse may be there but the wire in the te generally is not. Best if you are going to all that trouble get climate and other goodies while itnis all out say out od a ke or better still a kf. I have all kl stuff in my te wagon but is a lot more work again

thanks for the replies guys.

I saw what you have done to the "beast". now I know what's involved and unfortunately I have to postpone it because with my current knowledge I can't carry that through.

by the way thats a nice work you have done there
