View Full Version : Cam Fitment
Hay all
Im just double checking that my mechanic didnt do a dodgy on me. If the engine isnt in the car yet what would be the easiest way to fit different cams in the car. Can u put them in through the timing belt side?

they go in via the top only , after all the rocker covers , timing belt , covers and rocker gear , dissy etc are removed

The cams are meant to be taken out from the waterpipe/distributor side. I've been told this by a mechanic who worked for a mitsu dealership
Do u definatly have to remove the distributor? Cause i dont think its been touched. So u cant put it in through the timing belt side while the engines out?

If the engine is out what cant you slide them in & out of the dizzy side? thats how you do it while engine is in.....

Mate, just take the dizzy off and look at the cam, if it says '15' or '7' you have ralliart cams... The issue isn't about how to do the cams, it's whether or not you have them installed!!!

This was how mine was done, but my engine was in the car.
