Hey guys, am thinking of doing a conversion from carby to EFI, and was wondering what is involved?? have already got an efi intake from an engine that came off a magna of the same year, and a set of extractors with an aftermarket o2 sensor. the engine is a 4g54 astron engine.
Any help would be appreciated

You also will need the loom and ecu. But do a search as this conversion has happen a few times now :)

here is the link to the main thread that i know of on the 1st gen forum http://www.aussiemagna.com/forums/showthread.php?t=66048
i looked on you profile and it doesn't seem to list what you have but i have a feeling its a first gen? and even if you have a second gen its the same procedure and requirements, just obviously make sure all parts are off a second gen if that's the case lol.
the threat covers most things if you read through it. but as said above you need full engine loom. you will also need air box, tps (throttle position sensor), fuel lines to match efi filter and attachments, fuel pump from an efi car, relay box and ecu from under dash, possibly accelerator cable but im not sure about that one. dizzy is the same but coil and transistor pack is different from memory (haven't personally owned a carby but buggerised around with one)
pritty simple thing to do, worst thing it taking the manifolds on and off while on the car as the nuts are a prick. hope this helps. any questions ill try to help with.
