Hi all
Thinking about getting slim number plates (South Australian) for my 380 Platinum. Anyone got them and can tell me how they look?
Thanks.

NSW has larger slimline plate at rear, and can have personalised colours

I've ordered silver-on-black slim personalized plates... need to get some nice protectors for them now, are the ones at Supercheap decent?

I have SLIM front and normal on the rear...it is how it was when I bought the car.
Now that I think about it, I don't think it would look right any other way. :D

Yeah I seriously considered going slim on the front and normal on the back. Hoping there's enough room on the slims to put the LPG badge on.

I bought mine in SA with LPG, but when I brought back to NSW and re-reg I ddn't end up with the LPG stickers - maybe they will insit next roadworthy for renewal in Sept!

Anyone in Victoria know if it's possible to get slimline on front and normal on rear. I don't know the process ie are the plates already made up or do they make them on the spot??

You can request to have your existing plate made as a custom slim plate, I believe, at a cost.
It would be cheaper to visit a Vicroads office and request new plates in a slim and normal combination - I did this with my old car, was about $20-$30
