Hi,

My wifes car, a 2004 Magna auto sedan, has been having some electrical issues of late.

The main issue is with the dash, car is driving along, and then the dash warning lights for the handbrake, battery and anti lock all come on, and stay on most times. Also the lights for the air con switches go out aswell. The headlights dipped tonight when the lights came on too.

It has a brand new battery as of today, and it is still having issues.

Any ideas what it could be?

Any help would be great.

Thanks
Deaks

check your charge rate sounds like alternator is u/s
also could be the connections at the battery or fusebox

I have the same issue with my TJ, the ABS and brake light stay on but cannot get a error reading, it does not flash when pin 1 is connected. My battery is failry new as well and I am thinking it may be the alternator regulator but the voltage is stable across the rev range. I think in your case, it may the the alternator, just check it with a volt meter.
