The car has recently developed an odd vibration when turning left, and only during acceleration. I can turn hard left coasting, but as soon as throttle is applied the vibration appears, pretty bad too. Only turning left too.
Is this a drive shaft problem? as if it was steering, alignment or somthing it would happen regardless if power was being Applied or not.
Cheers
Might be a good idea to check your front wheel bearings.

i'd be checking drive shafts, maybe swap one or them both over. Might aswell before it gets worse. If its only when turning and under power it can't be a diff problem, if it was diff it would be when you accelerated all the time.
whats the vibration like? in the wheel or the whole car? worse the faster you go?

hmmm i never considered the diff. I try to be gental to the diff where possible.
the vibration is like a shudder, can feel it in the wheel but also the car, as the passenger can also feel it.
i think the shudder speeds up the faster the car is going. mabey but cant remember.
only when turning left.
sounds like a drive shaft doesnt it? its a reco unit too, about 2 years old. but no clicking noises when on lock and on power

this problem seams to come and go, making diagnosis difficult. which drive shaft would it be if its only vibrating when turning left?

got underneath the car today and saw this, on the drivers side driveshaft. i banged it back in and got them a little closer together.
what can i do to stop this happening again? perhaps this is why sometimes the vibration was there and at different levels of serverity

i cant see the picture clearly , is that photo taken at the wheel or the inner end ? looks like a bad joint or the circlip holding it has come loose.

It's the drivers side drive shaft, it's the connection at the middle of the shaft where the shaft from the box meets the shaft from the CV

This Pic helped me a lot, got a coasting/drive Vibration at 55-80 kms with noise then it changes pitch, at 80 you can't feel it through the steering wheel any more. I take it after me changing all of my wheel bearings, there is still one one, this would be it. Intermediate Shaft Support bearing??? Will under go the operation tomorrow, thanks heaps for the Pic.
