if its a TL or TW it would be alot harder, ive never had a good look at there head lights, but it could work, instead of using CCFL or LEDs you could use something called EL wire, basicly its wire that glows, you can get 10 meters of the stuff + power supply for aroung $30 on ebay, have a look at Timi's avatat, thats EL wire
then again, i know a way to make custom angel eyes that might work, ill PM you the link to youtube

when it is in the oven, does the heat have any effect on melting the insulation? and can you just use a heat gun around the edge of the lense to remove it?

lol if its going to melt the insulation ?? then its been in there way too long.
The whole idea of putting it in the oven is to soften the glue that holds the lens together
If you have a heat gun ,use that, the oven is only an alternative if you don't have a heat gun,and ,if your oven is any thing like mine, then, you will have problems putting the one piece in as they are just a bit big.Be very careful nothing touches any thing.

I've seen angel eye diy's where people have been putting them in the oven at MAX temp for a few minutes before removing the lenses. When i did my 1 piece parras i put them in at 100 degrees celcius for 2 minutes and they came apart easily. Even then, you could feel the plastic tabs etc were quite soft and malleable. Wouldn't like to see the reults of 250+ degrees.
bj's magna, none of the components were melted when i did mine but i only put them in at 100 degrees. I know of a member that used a heat gun to remove the lenses without issue but it did take longer and wasn't as easy.

My oven was to small to fit the lights in so i had a decent heatgun anyway. If you have a decent one will make it alot easier :)
EL wire isn't bright enough =(

This you can use to make any shape you like. Just use your headlight reflector or make a mould

I wanted a more subtle look when i did mine so i tinted the angel eyes themselves and repainted the shrouds, headlight reflectors were left untouched. I did however paint the indicator reflector and removed the orange 'dome', replacing it with an amber globe. Indicator is just as visible as it was previously. With the blacked out shrouds, the whole lot looks black with the lights off.

Out of interest, if you instal angel-eyes, do they count as parkers when getting a roadworthy?
Because i currently have 2 piece parras without any parkers (who needs em :D) and I know that technicaly makes my car unroadworthy. But would that change if I was to put in these angel eyes?
Because the effect would be ruined if when you turned the parkers on, the eyes came on along with a stupid light-globe that washed it all out.

Believe me, there's no way a parker globe is going to 'wash out' the angel eyes!!

Haha. So you think it will be fine to have a little parker globe AND the angel eyes and the eyes will still dominate? :)

Wont have a problem with them mate as far as light output! As for being legal well. . According the ADR and standards i have been researching:
They are perfectly legal providing the light is white, can be turned on and off seperately to other lights
So i see no reason for them not to be legal but im sure the poilce will fight me for it
RightNow?

I don't have too much of an issue with them being illegal lol. My car is unroadworthy in a host of the ways besides from that.
As soon as a cop checks my ride height I'll have a lovely new yellow sticker as a mod haha.
But oh well. :)

or do what i did and hook them into your ignition circuit so they turn off when the motor is off,and still run parkers separately.

That would be even better. Permanent angel-eyes haha.
Where is the nearest place to splice into to do that though?
I know my way around wires, but I'm not keen on cutting into any main looms in the engine bay haha.

Im not 100% sure but i think they are legal as a parker. Alot of newer cars seem to use led strips as parkers

Just pulled the one piece parra's apart using the oven. Thanks for the info on the thread guys is very very useful. I also spoke to a very close friend of mine that does head light and tail light repairs and he said to put them in the oven at 95 degrees for 20 mins. This seemed to work perfect no struggle to pull the lens off and also no damage to the reflectors he did tell me just to add to this thread that the lens should be facing towards the front of the oven.. Oh well now they are apart i will put them aside and install the angels during the week.. Thanks again to every ones input

by definition the parkers dont have to have a specific lighting capability BUT must fucntion as parkers do and illuminate the extremeties of the car. They are there are markers for people to not hit your vehicle at night.

hey im really keen on getting angel eyes installed in My 00 TK Magna any1 know any info on buying them and getting them fitted in Sydney ?
There isn't really any workshops however there are a couple of people in Sydney who are able to do them. However it is best you use a spare set of headlights just in case.
