Hi, I have a 1990 TP Elite , 190.000ks, it idles Ok but when you select D or R it shudders with the brake on, it seems to drive ok , it has been doing this for a while ,I think it may be a bit worse, I have replaced the engine mounts.
Any suggestion please .Trans has done 70.000ks since Trans service, Oil looks good still,

They all do, although the extent may vary. The transmission specialist who rebuilt my transmission said it was just the transmission oil pump working.

thats the best you can do

as long as the revs at idle is above 700-800

recheck the engine timing to be sure

filters can be used twice if cleaned well
must use mitsubuishi oil for autos

it was documented on a report on mine in 1992 for a rwc and never hurt. the box was fine up till about 2 months ago when it finally went after a bit of abuse.....my bad lol.

use to feel like a diesel with stuffed injectors at the lights and no matter what i did. i actually use to shift it into neutral every time i pulled up cos it annoyed me but that's the only solution i found. i did a tranny service and fixed up the engine to get it idling smoothly (changed all vacuum hoses fixed leaks ect) but it never fixed it. unless you go manual its just a first gen thing i think lol
