Hey everyone,

Thought i would pop my cherry with the news that I have just upgraded my 1997 Magna Advance to a 2008 380 VRX Series III. Been looking for one for so long and finally found exactly what I want for the right price. I'm hoping to make a few mods to it to make it really special but not sure what yet.

Welcome mate! Very nice 380 you have there! Love that colour :D

I'd definitely suggest lowering it, and the usual Galant intake etc.

Have you noticed how it changes to greens and purple in the sun. Very complex tint.

Gonna look into lowering it a bit later on but interested in the galant intake soon. Had a hunt around on the boards and found a good install guide by Sidewinder but havent been able to source one... Is there a good online part store i should know about? I dont mind eBay but would prefer a store.

Thanks in advance guys!

If I could do it, you can. I got help from the forum members as well.. soldering knife and a sharp blade. I didnt end uptaking the box out, so it wasnt as tidy/neat as expected, still fits and does the job.

ok, so ive taken the front of the air box out to file away the intake opening. thats done and 90mm intake fits snugly...now to put it back together again...THOSE EFFING CLIP TYPE THINGS ON THE BOTTOM OF THE BOX ARE DRIVING ME INSANE!! how are they supposed to go together? slide on? slide over and then clip in ??? AAAAARGH dont suggest doing this mod with a cold either nose is running like a tap!

EDIT: OK, finally after many cuss words and scrapes on my fingers I got it to fit...still don't recommend doing any modifications while in the grips of a cold...very very frustrating.
