Did them last week all black:

but now thinking of going all blue. I did one door blue for comparison (pics below taken by tiny pov camera - 3rd pic doesnt show doors but my TE and dads TJ ).
Keep in my that i am going to do the bottom part as well in "plush velour", and thats available in a very nice funky blue, or a still pretty nice shiny black.
What do u think will look the best? all black, all blue, or both?
I reckon blue is better than black, coz black is sorta dull, dead and not as exciting as blue. better yet, go fluffy! :D Yeh, doing the bottom part of the door is worth it:)

looks great! Do the bottom part in the same as you did the top trim, it'll look sweet.

hmmmmmm i just showed my bro and his gf and they both reckon black all they way as the blue is too much of a contrast.
I am 90% sure that for the bottom part of the door i will go the plush velour that i saw for $11 a metre (more suited for the bottom part cos it was thicker and had a much fatter backing). Its just that I know all black will work (but possibly be a little plain), but im not 100% certain about blue (may end up looking tacky).
Although if i bought all the material for both and experimented with both its only gunna be another $25 total, so moneys not much of an issue. hmmmmm

oh and the wheels are 17" Roh Furys. hard to see cos of the crap quality photo sorry

Royal Blue, then Incorporate them into the seats with a Blue and white trim!!
Its the perfect look for a white car.

I think that the blue looks better as the black kind of looks very standard, the blue makes it stand out more as well.

I just bought a heap of black vinyl and my friend and I are going to attempt door retrimming next Saturday. A Magna and a Satria.
Anyway, just wondering if you glued the entire back surface of the fabric and pasted it on to the stock door trim? Another thing is, does it secure well in it's original position with the additional thickness?
Thanks.
go the blue... if u went black then the blue thats already on there will look kinda weird..

Arrghhh stuff it im goin Navy :P A few have said go the blue as it stands out more but that isnt really the look i am after, but perhaps the reason i was swaying away from blue. I just want the interior to look neater. When it comes to cars i always think simple yet effective is the what im after, thats just me :).
I think navy will be a little less conservative than black but still not be "too much".
tequila - i only glued the back of it, just making sure it was pulled pretty tight. And the fabric i used isnt very thick so it fits in with no dramas at all.

well done the token experimentation door Navy today:
top part Navy "poly interlock" fabric and
bottom part Navy "Plush Velour" fabric.
im tempted to do both bottom and top in the plush velour now, its funkyness is growing on me.......

Dude you have too much time on your hands. You keep swapping fabrics.
lol How did you get the bottom bit done? It doesn't looking like it comes off the door easily. Did you just glue the fabric straight on?
look like he's got too much money and time. the bottom part comes off just as easily as the top bit!

ok its getting really friggin annoying now. The joke "i used to be indecisive but now im not sure" is exactly how i feel.
Why does Spotlight have so many damn fabrics! I have spent $35 so far on fabric and glue and most of it will go to waste. All navy, all blue, all black, half n half, velour or poly interlock or some other ****? arrghhhhh.
And actually it doesnt take very long to do one door. The time consuming part is sitting there going over and over all the variations i can do
Oh and the bottom bit is actually easier to do (taking out and re-trimming) than the top part. Well it is once u get the stock carpet **** off which is stuck down with hardcore industrial strength sticky glue!
