I was under my car today and noticed the drivers side boot on my steering rack is split, just wondering, does the rack have to be removed to replace the boot? cheers

i know f,all about 3rd gens . sould just need to remove tie rod end .count how many turns it take,s to come off .so you can count them when putting it back on. its a bit fildly on the gen2s .should be an easy diy.
