Hi
Noticed today that my rev counter and now my speedo seem to be in slow motion phase.
The speed gets upto the required speed but as I decellerate the needle still points to my original speed then comes down slowly as does the rev counter. I reckon it must be an electrical rather than mechanical issue?
Any ideas?
Cheeers:hmm:

Had the same problem with a Toyota Camry from a previous life.

The actual needles had warped in the heat slightly and were catching on the inside of the glass for the instrument cluster. Would go up to the correct speed okay, but the needle would then stick. Speedo did it first, then tacho a few months later. Was fixed by some instrument place on Port Road who removed the warped needles and installed new ones which sat flush to the guage, rather than bending outwards.

Hopefully you're still under warranty?

When I bought my car I got a list of all warranty work done to it, and at about 1,500km they replaced the cluster. No notes on why they did it but could have been electrical. :)
