I have a mates car at my place, and we are going to rebuild it along with a lil work to the head and camshaft, just wondering about a supplier for the full engine rebuild kit?

Any auto shop should stock the VRS kit. Timing chains, and bearings may be harder to find but somewhere like Motortraders should stock them.

Ring around at a few auto parts suppliers, the ones that sell spare parts not just torches, degreaser, stereos and chrome hubcaps. All the gaskets may come in a kit, but other parts may have to be sourced individually.

edit: If you're going to pull it all apart anyway, look into a balance shaft eliminating kit if you want a few more revs for a little rougher ride. It might involve a 1st gen oil pump, I can't remember all the details, and a few plugs to block off where the balance shaft goes.

Apparently ringwood auto parts in melbourne have pretty good bits. I got my gasket and timing kits from Repco just cause I didn't wanna wait a few days for delivery.
